Charnow Park on Hollywood Beach is located just north of Hollywood Blvd along the shore. This beachfront park is part of the wonderful Hollywood Beach broadwalk popular among locals and tourists alike. Children can get the best of both worlds by visiting Charnow Park. They can play in the waves and sand or come over to the park and play in the fresh water splash park amongst the tiled dolphins! When they dry off they can play on the playground equipment. The park originally started back in the 1930s as a place to play paddle ball along the shore. The historic paddleball courts have been restored and there are still 6 of them available for use to this day. Pavilions with seating are perfect for a rest in the shade while the children play. Improvements: The complete renovation of Charnow Park was completed in June 2008, providing many new amenities. This urban pocket park along the beach now provides the backdrop for an extensive array of activities and has revitalized the neighborhood.
